Roaring 20's - Blinging it up

What better to welcome a New Year than to celebrate in true 20's style? Inspired by the stylish head pieces designed by Chrisanthi Couture we had to go full flapper vintage vibes with this one. From Charlie Chaplin to Coco Chanel we took the vibe of this past decade that was so filled with new culture and huge world events. The emancipation of women that just started at the time is something that is inspiring to us to this day. And that we played with as well.

While gender norms have always been played with throughout the ages by many brave, avant-garde pioneers, the 20's were really an age where the line between male and female gender norms started being changed. This was an era where women started wearing pants for the first time, where women were able to drive an automobile, or start flying a plane, and we wanted to showcase this in our choice of wardrobe. With suits from the Peanut Butter Collection, and a fun take on the 20s high waisted gangster pants from Unique Vintage, the line between male and female attire was blurred.
